Hello my name is Ami Celestin Niyitegeka I am third year student doing bachelor of Information Technology majoring in System services at Nathan campus. I will finish my degree first semester next year, if I pass all subjects that required for my major.
From my understanding I think this course focus on topic of introducing the latest Web 2.0 technologies. I hop this subject is going to teach me how to give and share information architecture and content management principles that will help me to present a large volumes of information online in a manner that is easy to find and appealing to end users. This is my first time to create a blog and my first time to maintain it as well. I really enjoying it and I hop in future I will keep creating more blogs. I am interested in becoming web developer or database administrator when I graduate. I haven’t start looking for work or internship that could put me into one of these roles. But as soon I finish this semester this will be definitely what I will be doing during my final semester.

Feed reader is important tool that help you to gather all information you need and keep them updated. It is very important application because it keeps updating information on website that you often visit or interested. At the moment I am using Google Currents, not only because of its good interface, Google Currents delivers beautiful magazine-like editions to tablet, smartphone as well as laptops for high speed and offline reading. Google Currents deliver news in different categories such as world, entertainment, sports, science, and more.
Benefits
All news at one place: you can subscribe multiple news and customize your Feed reader and put all news on one single page. RSS display and update faster than information on web.

I have decided to review one of the website that I use so I came up with Tagged.com .for more information about its policies can be found here

What I got out from reading their policies is how they will user your information and what they will do if there is a breach in security on their site. Tagged has the right to use your information in many different ways to different users.

Tagged uses personally identifiable user information for the purposes of the Tagged website, the Tagged referral and friend list building. Personally identifiable information including members' pictures and names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction on Tagged. Email
addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join Tagged and to add users to members' friends' networks
Tagged has its privacy setting tools which allow users to set the privacy setting, so each user can set privacy and setting to let other users who can see their profiles (each user have the right to protect their information). You own the content and information that you post on Tagged and have the ability to control how it is shared through your privacy setting

Overall I believe tagged Terms of service and privacy policies are acceptable to the service they provide to the users. Terms and conditions are applied for protecting tagged itself and users.

The use of the semantic web will change the way, how people access and search and share things on the internet and also how they will communicate.Semantic web will be about computer being able to understand information contained on the web. This will improve the way people search things on Internet.

Advantages of Web 3.0
  • Information categorized and presented in a visually improved manner that enhances interaction and search functions
  • No software programs to install
  • Browsers will position themselves as true lifestyle canvases.
